Barilla is an Italian company that specializes in the food industry especially in “pasta”. While 3D-printing technology being developed, the company start to explore the huge potential made possible through this new production technology, conveying into an innovative shape. Therefore, the project aims to come out a pasta shape that brings a new eating experience to the customers.
Anelli is a new type of pasta, the seamless shape of which only can be produced by 3D-printing technology. The shape is composed by two rings to be a loop. It presents a infinity visual perception and chewy food texture. More importantly, the two holes of Anelli facing different directions, that improve the way to collect more sauce and to contain the decoration for dish presentation.
