Casa Pop- Advance Textile Design

This project done in the third year of my design college started with researching on a brand, understanding its working, positioning in the market and its clientele. This study was later required for developing designs appropriate for the brand maintaining my individual aesthetics. I studied the trends and forecast and came up with my own theme that would go with my brand, “Casa Pop”.
When I first saw Casa pop advertisement in Elle Décor magazine, it caught my eyes. The advertisement was so vivid and high spirited, that it got me one step closer to choosing it for my project. I chose it for its color story, interesting theme selection and exclusive product range.

About the Brand
Casa Pop is the pret diffusion brand of Casa Pardaox. Raseel Gujral, the designer of the brand had tried to create an environment which reflects absolute sophistication with a vibrant persona. It features quirky home decor products and fashion wear in all vibrant colors.

USP: The blend of utility and design gives it an edge and makes it unique. It is a retail concept store which offers limited edition pieces to all consumer segments.

Clientele: Casa Pop is aimed to appeal to the young, trendy, vibrant urban consumer from the age of 18 to beyond. 

Product range: It features quirky home decor products and fashion wear in all shades of neon. It offers fresh designs, trendy prints and joyful colors. It caters a wide range of lifestyle products, fashion apparel and accessories, all under one bright roof.

Moodboard
After studying the trends and forecast, I came up with my theme, Optic Botanic. It uses the delicacy of hand illustrations of botanic and birds and combining it with the optical illusion art to add the drama.
Sample Explorations
In these samples, I have tried different techniques of screen printing, surface embellishments and experimented with materials. below samples have a combination of knitting, printing, embroidery and weaving.  
Final Product
This is an installation piece inspired by the honeycomb structure. Since Casa Pop is an interior brand that makes furniture piece along with other products, we thought of creating this wooden structure which would combine different samples of students working on the same brand.
