I created this mask out of Sculpey to represent the idea of flat vs folded. I played with the idea of a basket weave from the start, as seen in the last progress photo, and was very interested in how to lay it on the face. Ultimately, I decided on having half the face be covered with a large woven piece appear to be coming undone and unraveling.
