Relief Printing - Birthday Postcards

I wanted to explore further the properties of relief printing.
I knew how to do a basic reduction technique, but I realised I hadn't actually created a piece in which involved singular outlines. This is what I wanted to try, and so I needed to find an image I could print. Coincidently, I also had the idea of creating self-made birthday cards, with a slightly more humorous and uncommon design, seeing as this was for fun.
The first image is the sketched design that will eventually become printed.
First layer.
Applying red colour onto lino block.
 Layering of the two colours.
 Creating the outline on lino.
 Completed design.
I really liked the end design and because I wanted to use this as birthday cards, I wanted to created more.
In the end, I managed to produce 24 cards, which I am really proud of. Once I finished them and allowed them to dry properly over a couple of days, I personalised a message on the back of each card, all varying according to whoever I gave them to.

Now that I understand how to do this process, I want to extend my knowledge in this area, possibly experimenting with colours or maybe even text next.
