Office branding - The Indian Express Newspapers
Indian Express Limited is an Indian news media publishing company. It publishes several widely circulated dailies, including The Indian Express and The Financial Express in English, the Loksatta in Marathi and the Jansatta in Hindi. Its weekly entertainment magazine Screen, covering Indian film industry, also has a popular following.

I am sharing the concept and realized office branding designs here with all of you. Since the Indian Express is a legacy brand in the Newspaper Industry, the ideas had to be within the brand guide limits while stretching the creativity to another level.

The Indian Express Newspaper's Sales team had moved into a new office (in 2008) located at ITO, New Delhi. Being a new building, the walls were all blank and could use some inspiration for the staff as well as the clients. As a creative member of the Corporate communications & Marketing department, this task was assigned to me.

Idea: After a month of research and brainstorming with the product owners, I came up with the idea of creating the avatars for the 4 major publications to fill up an entire wall. One of the major client requirement was to showcase all IE brands on every panel. The avatars were made up of the actual cuttings of all the major news in the respective newspaper.

The Financial Express was depicted as a thinker corporate in the chair.

The Indian Express was depicted as a leader voicing out the truth.
Jansatta was depicted as a common man (Janta).
Loksatta was depicted as a group of people trying to make a difference.
