2011 Fall Semester Final Project
Spatial Design Class taught by Michael Lamar
The Lamp Project:
Materials are limited to wooden dowels & paper.
In my case, I used squared wooden dowels and Japanese rice paper.

Things that we have to consider…
-       Division of light
-       Weight
-       Where/how it sits/hangs
-       The placement of the cord

Inspired by modern architecture, my lamp is constructed with basic geometric shapes (mostly triangular), varying in sizes.

The shape of my lamp continues to evolve through the process of making it. I settle down with this final design because the structure distributes light most equally.
