In response to a prompt to build a box, I created a box that is made out of skin in which it I chose to put nothing inside of it. It draws upon the superficiality of the importance of skin and "face" in the Chinese culture that I have grown up in. Like the delicacy of this box that is only made of the skin without any other supporting factors, the idea of maintaining skin and face in the culture is so dearly and strongly held up to without critical thinking.
