A Fidget Spinner
After making a prototype of a fidget spinner using three bearings and gluing them together, I decided it was time to make a real one with the 3D printer on my school.
This was the first prototype I made.
First I ordered some better bearings (ABEC-9's to be precise). I then measured how large I could make it and still have it fit in my hand.
And this was the result, standard design with a little detail. I decided to also create the bearings I bought in 3D for the sake of the render. As a side note; I am using Octane to render now instead of KeyShot.
These are the spinners in the three colors in which we can print them with the 3D printer on our school.
And this is the result in real life, it worked out great, I only had to make the holes for the bearings slightly larger to make them fit properly.
And finally as a comparison.
