This piece is of the 4 week Fetus series for Drawing Spring 2016. It is a continuation of my exploration in seeing the fetus and understanding it in a 3 dimensional way as a contrast to my charcoal drawings done beforehand. Creating the mold allows me to see the fetus's imprint and negative shape while at the same time recreating its three dimensionality that I can touch instead of looking through a glass jar.
