This is my memory piece made for David Scanavino's drawing class spring 2017. Growing up around Dead heads people often referred to Jerry Garcia as uncle Jerry, including my parents. We even had a christmas tree ornament with him on it that my mother made. As a child I did not understand that Uncle Jerry was not my uncle and often felt disappointed that I have never met my so loved uncle. The piece is a memorial to the Uncle Jerry I never had.
