In the summer, my mom and I used to lie down on our cold marble floor in the living room because the weather was so hot. Even though marble itself is rigid and cold, the memory that I relate to is soft and warm. I used to touch the area that my mom was lying on after she left to feel the warmth because it was a reminder of her presence to me. Through these samples and a final scarf, I wanted to depict my warm, fuzzy, faded and nostalgic memory on marble.
