Chattai Screen

The Chattai screen is a woven “fabric” divider composed of individual wooden slats and felt pieces. The screen maintains a flat yet flexible quality, allowing it to sculpt through a variety of spaces, while the dyed flaps create dynamic movement. The arrangement of the felt also allows for varying levels of opacity, enabling the user to create spaces of privacy as desired.

Chattai Screen was exhibited at Salone del Mobile Milan as well as International Contemporary Furniture Fair New York in 2017.

Designed and produced by Urvi Sharma (BFA Furniture Design 2017) and Hyunmin Kate Park
(BFA Textiles 2018)
