【The Mermaid School】

Humans set up a mermaid school on land!

They look a bit like us,

but they cannot swim in deep waters like us."

 

"Isn't that school set up by Avril?

She always says she wants to let more humans who like the ocean know us better.

Melody is also teaching there!"

 

"She didn't reveal her mermaid identity, did she?

Not all humans are good people.

We'll be in trouble if they found us!"

 

"It should be okay... I guess..

With their technology, humans are not able to come to this region.

Our ancestors who escaped from the land humans

used a few centuries to figure out how to sink Nontmyra into the ocean!"

 

"By the way, you guys always go to the surface to play with human sailors. Don't you think it's boring?"

 

"Don't worry. Even if we sit here doing nothing,

humans will soon be a part of the Nontmura civilization.

Icebergs are melting, sea levels are rising, and lands are diminishing.

That's the reason why Avril set up the school.”

“嘿，你們聽說了嗎？

人類在陸地上開設了一所人魚專校耶！

乍看之下還真的挺像我們的，

不過不能在太深的海域游就是了。”

 

“那不是艾莉兒開辦的嗎？

說是希望讓喜歡海洋的人類更加了解我們。

美莉緹也有幫忙當導師呢！ ”

 

“她沒洩漏她是人魚的身份吧？

人類也不全是好人吧？

萬一被他們找到我們就糟了！”

 

“應該....沒事吧...我想...

人類的科技應該還來不到這個領域。

當年我們的祖先為了離開陸地上的人，

花了好幾個世代才研究出將儂特露瑪沈沒到深海裡的技術耶！”

 

“說歸說，你們還不是常常大老遠地游上水面去捉弄航海的人類，不覺得無聊嗎？”

 

“不用擔心啦，就算我們不做什麼，

人類成為儂特露瑪文化的一部分也是遲早的事。

冰山不斷融化，海床不斷上升，陸地不斷減少；

艾薇兒大概是在未雨綢繆才創辦這所專校吧。”

 

“現在說什麼都還是言之過早吧。

以前耶穌先生不是試過一次人類大清洗嗎？

那些學不乖的人類還不是不會吸取教訓，

不斷地重倒覆轍。”
