Core: weathered, worn & torn
Central Saint Martins Masters Folio
Inspired by architecture, urban environments and geometric forms, Core is a raw jewellery collection of oversized pieces, defined by a refined classic edge.

The diversity and state of change within the cities (environment) informs the work. Drawing inspiration from abandoned, neglected areas including: the shipyards and factories of Silvertown (London), industrial sites in Atlanta (USA), rural farms in Georgia (USA) and the ancient ruins of Rome, the artefacts foreground the infrastructure behind these landscapes.

Challenging some common associations and preconceptions the collection was conceived to use sustainable materials like Portuguese cork, farmed walnut veneer, recycled metals and seeks to work with energy efficient and sustainable production processes.
