Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Aeon Stanfield began his art career in NYC after graduating from the School of Visual Arts in 1992. His career soon developed as a successful creative art director for many national print advertising campaigns and editorials. During this time, he spent years collaborating with top photographers and leading fashion illustrators and his design work has won awards such as Communication Arts Design Annual '02, HOW Self Promotion Annual '02 and American Graphic Design Awards. Aeon's success eventually lead him to becoming a Senior Art Director for Tiffany for nearly a decade.
Throughout Aeon's early career as a designer/art director, inwardly his passion for his illustration artwork was quietly emerging. Over years of absorbing the street energy and styles of the urban street scenes of the big city, Aeon began incorporating the energies of this cultural force into his illustrations. His character's are a mixed media hybrid of pencil, pen, digital design, acrylics and oils.
Collectively, they are urban savvy, sexy and tough with the potential to stir up a little trouble... but not too much. They are only as hard as a hard candy shell with a soft sweet center and if they could talk, they would pride themselves on their personal style, where they're from and the people they choose to be around.
Each character is created with his or her individual tag line and bio.
Aeon Stanfield now resides in Seattle, WA. Since relocating from NYC in 2011.
