Vincent van Gogh
The first time i saw van Gogh´s sun flowers i was bagpackin in London with no money and not enough sweaters; I was cold, tired and hungry. I entered the National Gallery and stood in front of this amazing masterpiece, then i fainted. I thought that happened because i was tired.
Years latter I discovered something called Stendhal syndrome, a psychosomatic disorder that appears when you´re exposed to an extraordinary work of art. I don't know if i have it, but i´ve experienced similar symptoms when I saw "Guernica", "Lo que el agua me ha dado" "Los elefantes" "Summertime" and many more...
With this little project i´m trying to illustrate those who have taken my feelings beyond my control.
