RIHS Charette Competition- Heritage Reanimated

The 15x23ft study is used as a history learning lab, a space for rotating exhibitions as well as sometimes being rented out for special occasions such as weddings. Working in predetermined teams, students were given four days to collaborate on a design and make two 24x36-inch display boards and at least one model to articulate their ideas. The materials were submitted anonymously to a team of judges that reviewed the proposals and voted for the most promising solutions.
The team Margarida collaborated with- Team M- came runners-up in the competition. The top 3 winning designs had the opportunity of showing their work at the Providence Preservation Society meeting on Friday, November 4, 2016. Later in November their proposals were exhibited in the very room they redesigned in the Aldrich House. The nonprofit hopes to implement one of the three designs or perhaps a single design that uses elements from multiple proposals.
