The Perceptual Modulator is a play at intensifying our perceptions of the vibrational energies around us.

Using advanced 3D ear scanning technology, I developed an art piece custom fit to my ears and my head with the following artist statement in mind:

"The known universe, all around us, consists entirely of vibrating energy. Theoretical physicist Michio Kaku describes this phenomenon as the Master Theory, stating, "the universe is like a symphony...of vibrating strings in harmony". Whether we perceive it as light, sound, or something greater, it is vital that we tune in to the significant frequencies, the beautiful moments in life that capture, inspire, and make us think twice."

The details of the design were influenced by modern digital surrealism using bionic humanoid imagery, and largely by modular analog synths used by many musicians.  The piece utilizes appropriated modular synth parts to achieve the technologically advanced look.
