Kiosk for Exhibition and Spatial Design.
Right before the convocation ceremony of my college, the kiosks of all the disciplines get a makeover. They are supposed to represent the specialisation.
For the 2013 convocation, the discipline decided to not simply display the work done during classes, but to take an abstract approach by creating a more wholistic representation of what it stands for.
The floating triangles coming together to form the icosahedron, represent what Exhibition and Spatial Design has come to stand for in the college. It is a multidisciplinary specialisation that uses all skill sets to deal with the designing of spaces.
In the installation, the two-dimentional planes, representative of the elements of space design, come together to form the icosahedron which is a representation of space.
