For the 30-minute outside installation, I wanted to play with the sun and reflections. What better place than the Frog Fountain, the place where the fountain is a giant sundial. I decided to grow red crystals (I like the color when it is hit by the sun) and break apart mirrors to glue onto a wooden manikin. I inked the magnetic ball that came with it to make it black to contrast the red. The idea was to have it work as almost a sundial but also include reflections of light, almost like a guardian of time. My favorite focuses in art are, playing with light, shadows, and macabre, so this fit in well with my styles.
