Ola Pola Potloodgat
children's book design
A children’s book design for a Dutch play, Ola Pola Potloodgat, written by Pascale Platel and first performed by BRONKS! youth theatre in Brussels. The book was created to help BRONKS! youth theatre in Brussels celebrate their 20th birthday. Local artists/designers/actors were invited to choose one of BRONKS! classic plays and create/perform the play through their chosen media.

Ola Pola is a book designed to inspire children to become involved in the theater process. With a large, easy to read script, the book encourages children to read along and act out the scenes of a fun loving if not a bit silly play. Staggered throughout the book are “stages” including the “wild sea” and the “supermarket” that allow the children to play with die cut characters.
