Mist in the Night.
I was playing around with the manual settings on my DSLR on a particularly foggy evening the weekend of the Women's March. I'm not really trained, so they're not great. But they're something. I probably took... at least 25 pictures while I was outside sitting on the cold sidewalk. The result is these two photos. *shrug*

That's the nature of this hobby though, isn't it? And hell, there weren't even any consequences to taking that many photos for me; I have a digital SLR. I can simply delete the photos that don't come out right there on the spot. I can't even imagine all the tossed negatives in the days before digital photography, film burned through to produce one satisfactory image.

Anyway, this has been my first foray with my Rebel into manual operation. I have a couple books laying around that I've been meaning to read about how to "do" photography. They're on my list of books to read very soon.
