Public library serves as an important part in the community. But with the development of the urban fabric, it is no longer necessary to function as a place for just reading and studying. The tether to the local area should be employed more dynamic and aesthetic. For the 819 Westminster Street site, this meant an opportunity to create a mix-used architecture that links people, neighborhood and the events.
In the centre of the library it lies the theatre. The front façade, facing schools and businesses, serves as a book store that holds a specific theme: Theatre. The topographical property of the neighborhood allows the site to be more interactive and entertaining. Rather than being isolated, the unique character of the library, which is quietness, is inherited and grouped with the chaos in harmony.
