Squash & Stretch: - used to give a sense of weight and flexibility to the object. 
Arc: - most natural actions has a tendency to follow an arched path. The exceptions would be mechanical movements which usually moves in straight lines.
Straight Ahead: - a process used in animation where the scene is drawn frame by frame from beginning to end.
Pose to Pose: - a process used in animation where the scene is drawn first by keyframes then extremes then in-betweens.
Slow-in & Slow-out: - shows the acceleration and deceleration of each action.

Timing: - refers to the amount of frames for each scene/action. More frames are used for slower action, while less frames are for faster motions.
Anticipation: - used to prepare the audience for an action and to make it appear more realistic.
Exaggeration: - used to make actions less dull and have more life.
Staging: - is used to direct the audience's attention. It is used to present an action, personality,, expression, and/or mood.

Solid Drawing: - gives volume and weight through three dimensional space.
Appeal: - a design that is interesting and captures the eye of the audience. the charisma of the character.
Secondary Action: - supports the main action to give the character more life and personality.
Follow-through and Overlapping Action: - gives the impression that the action follows the laws of physics (i.e: inertia)
