Rings are generally thought of as decorative jewelry; they don't usually serve any purposes. However, I found that rings, worn on fingers, are in a very good position to become useful tools. This is when the idea of Guard came into my mind.

Guard is a set of two rings that is worn on the index and the pinky finger that protects your finger from the pressure of bag straps. The rings are 3D printed in matte black stainless steel and are currently on sale on Shapeways.

Many prototypes were made to ensure that the rings fit the ergonomics of the hand and are optimized to carry pressure for your fingers.
