I decided to give a modern take on the traditional Chinese New Year aesthetic with this poster for the Year of the Rooster. Inspired by the Swiss-style design, I've incorporated the rooster into "2017", using its beak and wattle into the "7". The poster is done in a long rectangular layout, a nod to the traditional Chinese scrolls—and a blend of the customary with the contemporary.
