This painting was made for my painting class. We had to include two motifs with our figure painting. My motifs were drawn from Christian and Andean iconography, meant to highlight how the people of the region practice both Christian and Indigenous religions without conflict. The cross obviously come from Christian practices, and the other motif is inspired by small rock piles that are built across Argentina, meant as a devotional practice to Pachamama.
