The upper joint condition is my design of a column-to-beam connection and the lower joint condition is my design of a base-to-column connection. The pictures of the joints show the process of how the joint is put together with the last picture being the completed joint. These are two separate designs that are both inspired by nature (picture of flower in upper right corner) and my exploration with froebel blocks (picture of blocks in upper right corner). This project gave me great insight on how things truly come together and it also gave me a hands on experience in working with wood and crafting these joints to completion.
