This redevelopment of an existing water tower is a direct response to changing conditions in our environment and economy on a local as well as on a global scale. By transforming the former water tower into a so called green tower, it will become possible to provide for the local community by growing crops and vegetables on a
local scale, and selling them inside the market place. The green tower also acts as a catalyst in social developments by taking up the position of knowledge institute, where people can share ideas and study the practice, while enjoying the tremendous panoramic view of the city underneath.
