With this project I wanted to shed light on racism against Asians. Over the years racism towards Asians has been neglected and has been by people as more acceptable when compared to other races, but actually no form of racism should ever be considered acceptable. I also wanted this project to prove that racism doesn't only happen in conservative places, it happens everywhere including in a liberal town like Providence, RI or even a liberal school like RISD. 

I created a public Google Sheet and asked people to record any moment in Providence, RISD, or Brown where they have experienced or witnessed any racist towards someone of Asian ethnicity. You can find the Google Sheet at goo.gl/DmQSsa

From there I was inspired by memorials and its multiple forms of impact. For each event listed on the sheet I created a "plaque" and installed it all the location where the event happened.
