Bamboo bench
Goal
Create an outdoor bench which would be easy to assemble and which would be light and elegant as well as resist to the nature and human influence.
Main sustainability problem of most of the benches - are the holes in it's boards. It doesn't metter how strong the board is or how good you fixed it - the watter can destruct anything with time.

Concept
Exploring the potential of natural ways of assembling furniture I came up with a design in which the board and hardware can be assembled without screws or bolts. I managed to do this with the help of shape of the board and the shape of the hardware.
This type of placing the board without attachment can save it from the water damaging and make it more sustainable.

Assembling
Bench legs has 4 holes on their bottom for standard installation methods, for example - with ancor bolts.
The board itself has no holes for bolts or screws, simply insert the board to the hardware.
The shape of the board is formed with a curved bamboo planks laid vertically which are thinner at the ends. It needs to be formed and glued in this way to make the ends of this bench narrow yet strong.
As a result the board can be fixed to the hardware with no bolts and can't be detached with someone because of the shape of the hardware.
