This project doesnt have as much process documentation as the others because I wasn't documenting much back then. Essentially once the sabertooth skull was done I wanted to create something "boney". This is the result. I figured I needed something round-ish to frame or encircle the sabertooth and realized ribs are pretty round. I first tried human ribs and it didnt work since it was too square. I decided to draw out my own rib-like bones that would fit the the radial shape. In the end it turned out relatively mediocre imo but still acceptable when looked at it as a whole piece rather than just the ribs.
This is a project that began with a friend that wanted some macabre art with prehistoric bones and fossils. He make a very notable emphasis on the use of the sabertooth tiger.
Once the vector art was done the project was scrapped because we never spoke of it again but I didn't waste the work and created a sticker with my alias.
Note: the technique used in creating the volume and value here is similar to that of the Baphomet project.
