This comic tells the story of a personal experience I had walking along a foggy beach. Every aspect of this story comes straight from what I saw and what I felt that day. Even though this is but one example of my experiences with depression and loneliness, this story accurately portrays the sadness that comes from daily reminders of being alone, and how I am able to cope with it. It is important to look to the future, and to believe that you will be able to escape and move on from the darker parts of life, rather than dwelling on your current situation. I used a very loose style here, as I wanted this story to come as organically as it happened in real life. I was also able to practice using an ink brush, which was a somewhat new tool to me that I will definitely be using for future projects. This comic was done completely outside of class for my own personal and emotional catharsis.
