1999 Mazda Miata - Nikon D3300 - F/3 - Purchased for $5,000 sold for $8,000
I composed this shot to capture the extremely low stance of this 1999 Mazda Miata. I took the photo while laying down about 100ft away using a long range zoom lens to give the foreground some distance.
Taken on an old, unused backroad in Lexington, SC. I used a wide range lens to capture more foreground because the road is too beautiful to be ignored in this location. I ignored the rule of thirds to emphasize the aggressive stance and presence of this modified Mustang owned by a friend of mine who purchased it from me in 2014.
I composed this shot to again, show the aggressiveness of this car while also appreciating the beauty of the bright fall colors on the road. Nikon D3300 - f/3.5
Taken with my D3300, I used Lightroom to increase the clarity of this photo to emphasize the glossy black paint on my 2007 Corvette. The fall colors really pop in contrast to the crisp darkness of the car and bright red calipers. I realized halfway through this shoot that my passenger side foglight was out, so i used photoshop to add it back in.
Taken with my Nikon D3300 - Shutter Speed of 30 seconds.                                                           I created the effect in this shot by tying a string to an egg whisk full of steel wool, lighting it on fire, and spinning it viciously over my head while lying down behind the car. This was one single shot, and it came out much more dramatic than any other from the night, I believe due to the rpm of my whisk.
Taken in a grave yard, I took this photo using low exposer settings to capture the menacingly evil fascia of my 2013 Mustang GT.
I make sure to always capture a slight side shot of my vehicles to emphasize their aggressive stance. The dark green background and murdered out style of the car go hand in hand to make this shot look sinister.
Taken with my D3300 I composed this shot to show the uniquely aggressive rear end of this Miata thanks to the custom fabrication I did. This photo also does an amazing job of portraying the track ready stance of the car.
My target audience for this car was high schoolers wanting a modified track car. The smooth lines of the body and sleekness of design attracted many female buyers, but the aggressive stance and track car additions made this a highly desirable car to those just looking for any easy way to get involved with the automotive world. The car was sold a week after these photos were taken for $4,000 in profit.
This 2008 Dodge Caliber SRT-4 sported an extremely rare exhaust set up as well as many other performance upgrades. It may look like a minivan but it blew most cars off the road making nearly 400whp when I was done building it. I used the trees here to frame the car and used high exposure setting to capture the light reflecting off the flawless paint job. The car sold 2 weeks later for a profit of $4,000.
Taken with a Nikon D3300, I did not do any post editing to this photo. I wanted to capture the long straight road behind the subject to influence potential customers to desire to rip this beauty down an open road as soon as possible. The bike was sold 3 days later for $1,500 profit and a nice lunch with an older man who occasionally calls to talk motorsports!
A composition I created during a 30 minute design challenge.
Taken with my Nikon D3300, I rushed out to take this photo at the old Pendleton Oil Mill when I noticed the unique color of the sky at sunset. I fell in love with the dark look of this photo and used it to promote local car clubs in the area as well as my freelance photography business. It brought in a few new customers who all wanted photos in the same area.
This photo was originally taken in a Walmart parking-lot using my Samsung Galaxy 3. I used photoshop to drop it into a Mountain-scape I found on my camera roll. To this day my friends still ask me where I took this beautiful photo that would become my profile banner on many of my social channels.
Taken on an iPhone 6, I photoshopped a photo of a 5.0 Coyote Mustang Engine (also taken using an iPhone) into my 1999 Mazda Miata. This image caught traction on many Mustang, Miata, and Mod Motor forums and within a few hours had hundreds of thousands of impressions. Magazines were contacting me asking for build threads and videos of the project, to which I never replied. I did put together a teaser video on my YouTube channel which featured this Miata with Mustang exhaust noises overlaid. The video took off on a smaller scale amassing 10,000 views in the first week or so.
