For the Summer or 2016 I took a machine knitting course, learning all about the wonders of yarn and machine knitting. I chose to create an apparel based piece based on the idea of antiquity and tranquility. Soft browns with a hint of beige were to represent antiquity while the blues and grays represented tranquility. The collection was inspired by paintings I found in the RISD museum, a painting called 'Seaside Landscape' by Jervis McEntee, and water (particularly from India Point Park in Providence RI).
