For the poster below I chose an object, the scissors, and a word that related, divide. From there I looked for a poem that brought out the meaning of the word and symbol. I decided on a poem about immigration that I found on the web. When I found the poem, "El Preso Sin Numero," was in Spanish and then I translated it. I decided to leave both the original and the translation to show how immigrants not only face division from the family and land but many other things like language.
