THE GEOPOLITICS OF RESPECT
The objective of this project was understanding concepts of magazine layout design with a found article. The Geopolitics of Respect written by Donald Tiersky is a great summary of the political relationships between the United States, Russia, China, and Iran, each vying for political and economic respect. To reflect the theme of conflict, I minimized the color palette of objects and images and used one color red. Red in the western hemisphere is a common color for conflict and its other meanings such as danger and power are words that pertains well to the article’s theme.
