As an internationally recognized landscape architecture firm, PWP does not have its own outdoor space for its employees or multiple visitors. The existing parking lot and the entrance make the image of the firm unclear and confusing.
The design takes the idea of using the vacant space as a testing ground, which is a very critical and unique part of PWP’s everyday practice, and extends such potential by providing two sets of mirrors, one perpendicular set and one parallel set, allowing more efficient testing in this tiny space.
Scale systems are added: the lighting design is at the same time a Cartesian coordinate system marking the length, the height, and the area; seating has various heights and depths.
The design, in addition to the practicability, is an exhibition of PWP’s dedication to physical experimentation and precise detailing to its clients and other visitors. A much more legible public image is thus created.
