Medzihmla is a multidisciplinary festival focused on literature, taking place in a small town of Lučenec, Slovakia. We organise this well known intellectual / cultural / text based venue in our city of birth in a preX-mas atmosphere for 8 years now. The visual identity is always based on the main topic. This time we've chosen the idea of FORGETTING. Connected to issues of Europe's boarders problems, migration crisis, radicalisations of our politics...

We focused on humanity, understanding, social awareness and past knowledge.

The visuality is based on desctruction of a Roman sign of number 8 made of plaster, as it was our eight venue. It gave us a great opportunity to create various objects to become bases of the key visuals. After all, we sticked the object back together, as an monument of NON-FORGETTING.

There were numbers of artist (writers, dancers, visual artists, musicians) invited, and we decided to portait them and then deconstruct the images, according to the key visual.

The concept of deconstruction was also part of the scene in the local theatre. We have prepared site specific object and a set of animations communicating each of artist on stage.
