Amelia Earhart fue una reconocida piloto, que gracias a sus logros se convirtió en un icono de la revolución y distinción de la mujer. Sin embargo, debido a su incursión en un trabajo solo para hombres (en esa época) es asociada con rudeza y poca feminidad erróneamente. Por esta razón, en este trabajo es representada como la mujer revolucionaria pero delicada que fue.
