In June 2015 I got the opportunity to travel Croatia for 2 weeks, documenting the beautiful landscapes & cities rich in architecture, history and storytelling. We travelled from Zagreb south towards Plitvice and Zadar with Spilt being our destination to board a small sailing boat. Via sailing we got to experience the Adriatic Sea, visiting Makarska, Korčula, krka, Miljet, Dubrovnik & Hvar along the Croatian cost & Dalmatian Islands.
Zagreb City Centre & St Mark's Church. The beautiful designed roof reminds me of Mario Brother's.
In my imagination, princess Peach is being held captive & impatiently awaiting super Mario xx
In Zagreb especially, street art & graffiti is second to street lamps.
Croat feeding her birds.
Ivan Meštrović Museum. Zagreb. Croatia. Sculptor & architect.
The wondrous Plitvice National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site. No doubt a 'must see' when visiting. We spent the day walking the carved out pathways,
each leading to a waterfall or vie-point.
The dark blue, almost black ocean next to the city ruins scene is almost the perfect summary of Zadar. A small town on the Dalmatian coast of Croatia,
well known for it's sea organ & old town situated in between old Venetian & Roman ruins.
Steps & ladders lead directly into the open ocean, really embracing the theme behind the ocean being natures swimming pool.
A view down the cliffs as we make our way to the old town of Dubrovnik.
The old town comes alive in a different way once the sun sets, the old buildings light up and sounds of song & performance fills the air as locals
put on a show in the court. Every scene becomes a painting, where the light is just amazing.
