Boise State University, Digital Photography class, December 2016
For my Digital Photography class's final project, we were given free rein to do whatever subject matter we wished. Since I was traveling back to my hometown, Gardnerville for Thanksgiving, I figured that I would use that to my advantage. We were also encouraged to use Photoshop when editing. I wanted to create a contrast between my two homes, Nevada and Boise. The backgrounds of the photos are of rural northern Nevada where my family lives, and inside of the polaroid photograph and sunglasses is the image of the Boise city and capital. I wanted these pictures to encapsulate my current state of mind living in a new place while also having my old home 8 hours away. I took all of the photos, including the hands and background photos and edited them all together in Photoshop.
