In the spring of 2015 I took a course titled New York, New Yorker where we were assigned themes to recreate as New Yorker covers. For the theme "Seasons" I chose to address issues of colorism and beauty standards in a piece that juxtaposed the different experience of many white women vs. many black women during the summer.
