Healthy Food = Healthy Communities
Since production of food is on the rise, albeit slight, perhaps the problem is not with the output of food, the issue is with the commodification of it. To reduce the impact of the problem, we should reconsider the methods in transporting, growing and consuming sustenance.
I propose the idea that food labs should be put in schools to help teach children sustainable consumption, environmental stewardship, and healthy lifestyles.
To fully create the impact I envisioned, I wanted shipping containers to be repurposed into container farms, both to act as cheap vertical farms, and to increase sustainable awareness.
