RISD GD NOTICES: Post Right Now

The graphic design (GD) department at the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) uses an online posting platform, Notices (http://notices.risd.gd/), to spread information about what's happening around the community. It is usually a one-way conversation spoken by department authority figures, like our department head and professors, to the student body; Notices are sometimes printed and posted all over the building for us to see.

RISD GD Notices: Post Right Now borrows the same visual language and bulletin board-esque nature of its parent counterpart Notices to create an analog platform that brings the RISD Graphic Design community together in a more informal manner. By making the roles of authors and readers one and the same, every community member is empowered the same exact way. Professors, students, techs, and department heads can not only respond to the prompt written by a fellow community member but also respond to the prompt's responses and so forth. Communal communication becomes an organic response, which encourages play and doodle nostalgia: Anything that can be communicated with a marker is fair game.
