J.Crew is a brand that sides with style over fashion. They love color-blocking and pattern mixing. I wanted to create gift packaging to promote J.Crew's flannel season. They sell a wide variety of flannel and plaid pattern clothing and I wanted to represent that in a clean and sophisticated way. The gift bag has weaving handles derived from the weaving that makes a flannel what it is, the larger box is derived from a pocket that is typically on a flannel shirt and the small box is derived from the geometric pattern that makes plaid.
