Alaska, 2013.

We explored Alaska via a cruise ship out of Vancouver. I was skeptical at first, however, soon saw the perks of being able to wake up in a different place every day, in a state where many parts are inaccessible by land.
Day 1 - Waking up for sunrise as we sailed into Glacier Bay National Park.
Skagway, population 741, a figure that hasn't been been updated since 1999...
Close to the Canadian border and the Yukon.
Juneau, the state capital, inaccessible by land, encapsulated by mountains and glaciers.
Rescued bald eagle.
Disused and flooded mining shaft.
Ketchikan, an old fishing town, which used to entertain many lonely fisherman that travelled here for work.
Creek Street, during prohibition most of the stilted houses were brothels with trap doors to the water in order to smuggle alcohol in during prohibition. Something which seemed largely unenforceable in such a remote state.
Alaskan totem carver, bizarrely when I first posted this image in 2013 he found it on Tumblr and reposted. The world is shrinking.
Temperate rainforest, no luck finding any bears.
Never visited a place with such consistently beautiful sunrises and sets.

Took a cruise from Vancouver up to Alaska as much of the state is inaccessable by land. Waking up in a different place everyday.
