“Madwomen” Series of 50
D 27cm
Glazed Terracota
2015
They started from the form object of urinoir (for woman) with pattern from dynasty of Majapahit. I deliberately twisted them before attaining singular form. The hole in these objects also found in human body, and also in human mind. The holes are there. Existentialism urge of woman to actualize myself as a smart, independent woman etc. The hole--the void in woman psychology is the result of the inferiority caused by the existence of man. The visual patterns found here are traces of those narrations, cracks in the works, the chosen colors as the result of terracotta torsion on the objects, and dark room created in the works.

Here, I present 50 objects with median volume and different details. I did the finishing process expressively. For a couple of times I deliberately did the burning process over and over again, it’s like I'm having a dialogue with my own works to test their subtle room. Every time I tried to magnify them, I distorted it by producing a similar volume.
