Picture book series with transparent pages

I designed dozens of hardcover First Discovery books with transparent pages, licensed from the French publisher Gallimard and translated into English. For this new series of paperbacks, I added the blue banner at top to give the series a bold, distinctive look; kept a clean white background at top that blended into a color background below; and made the title type classier. I also created new art indicating the transparent pages at the lower right.

Here is the French version I had to work with. I got rid of the garish background colors and gave the series a classier look. The original "transparent pages" art at the lower right looked very flat and unappealing, so I created new art.
