Support System for Cancer Patients And Health Care Professionals
Ucare Provides health care and administrative care . It is an independent , non profit health plan which aims at providing health plans in Minnesota, UCare serves more than 285,000 members in Minnesota and western Wisconsin—one unique individual at a time. The following interfaces has been designed in order to propose design solutions for a simple interface for cancer patients and care givers.
The interface is designed for the nurses and the patients to interact with eachother in a more effective way. The design was mainly to provide the nurses with quick access to the messages of the patient and reply them using the templates of the previous messages. The simple interface for the patient and nurse makes no extra effort to learn the system. The nurses have acces to the patient messages and patient's profile. The patient's profile consists of the health reports, personal information, emergency rate, call to the patient button, compose message, depression scale and the keywords which the patient usually uses in their messages. These keyworks are in the form of tag cloud in the profile which is used by the nurses to rate the depression level of the patient. The nurses can also send the questionnaire to the patient for assessing the depression level.
The patient has an emergency button in their interface which will send a message or make a call to the concerned nurse saying that he/she needs some special assistance. The forum section provides the patient to interact with eachother and with the nurses, where each of their queries can answered.
